Bible Text:“Casting down imaginations, andeveryhigh thingthat exalteth itselfagainstthe knowledgeof God,andbringing into captivityeverythoughttothe obedienceof Christ;” – 2 Corinthians 10:5
Each year in the United States, television viewers watch more than 15,000 sexually explicit jokes and see more than 20,000 commercials announcements using sex to sell products.
The Internethas become a worldwide problem with the onslaught of pornography and other lustful sites.Children are the primary victims of Satan’s attack using the electronic media.Adults are caught in his web of deceit and sin as well.
What is our response? The Apostle Paul wrote that we should destroy all evil thoughts or imaginations that lead us away from God.
One plan to keep ourselves pure as it relates to modern communication is for the believer to limit one’s exposure by limiting the time browsing the Internet or watching television. We also need to count the cost, financially as well as time and the erosion of our spiritual health. And we need to be accountable to those godly members of our local church, being a model of what Paul wrote about having our thoughts being obedient unto Christ.
One good way to limit your exposure to the bad is to turn to the good at WHCB 91.5FM - The Blessing, or listen to WHCB online.
